Every year, the David Thompson Resort puts on an outstanding cowboy festival, which includes live musical performances, Cowboy poetry, an evening dance, a steak BBQ and so much more. Packages that include campground or motel accommodation are available. The 2008 lineup includes Gary Fjellgaard, Larry & Dwain Sands, Joni Harms, Ivan Daines , Horse Crazy, 3 Musty Steers, Bryn Thiessen, Alan Christie & Hillbilly Dust, Mag Mawhinney, Danny & Susan Gibson, Dave McClure and Al Owchar.

Blues, bluegrass and country musicians, as well as cowboy poets, come from across Western Canada to perform at the Grandview Stage Cowboy/Bluegrass Festival. In addition to performances, the event includes face painting for kids, an artisan fair and musician workshops.
